Artist Statement — Jamarrion Cotton
This piece is called “Momma”. I love to listen to music. I get lost in the music and let the sounds choose the colors and the flow determine the shapes. This piece in particular was inspired by a song called “Momma” by California hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar.
